The owner of this venue fires and hires indiscrimiatly. He recently added Brant from another failed venue who has brought his failed ideas to Captian Jacks and brings his lousy idea of good music too. The friday night band sounds like wanna be Wononas and the thursday band can barely stay in tune. The service sucks and the food is bla. Never again!!!

We have gone to this place several times over the past few years, we fell in LOVE with their food the flavors of the food in the past was as if someone had the love for cooking. We went there a few months back and the menu had changed and the people changed we were disappointed at that time. So we thought that we would give it another try. We live in Clearwater so its a nice motorcycle ride, they were doing some rennovating in which the place did look better. However, the girl that waited on our table had the personality of nothing. We ordered the Fish spread being locals most people know what to expect when they order this, we got two scoops (tablespoon size) of fish spread that it seemed like someone made up some tuna fish and put some liquid smoke or worchester sauce in it, in other words no flavor. I ordered the app. of fried oysters, at first I thought I got hush puppies there was so much breading on it, the people actually thought that I did not eat my food. This was a huge let down from us, it appears that there are new owners which is fine, but you should have kept the staff and the chef. I would not recommend, especially if you are a tourist and you are looking for good food that represents Florida.

My husband and I have gone to this establishment for 3 years, and have suggested to others. We had brought family from up north to the downstairs restaurant around 2:15. We sat down for about 10 minutes at a high top and there was no one attempting to serve us. We then move to a table that was in the middle of others so we could be seen more easily and the waitress walked by without any attempt to serve us or to even look at us. We were not going to beg someone to serve us as we pay for this service. We walked out without service and went to another restaurant nearby which we knew would treat us with respect and courtesy. We are very disappointed and it would be highly unlikely I would suggest this place to anyone again.

Best Entertainment!!!
Roger and Margie are the best!! We love going to hear them on Saturday and Sunday nights. Even our 2 1/2 daughter loves to go!

Buffet-ville
Great little place...on the river across
from Pappas.... fresh grouper,great steaks and bands on the week-ends.
Its like a short trip to margaritaville!
Say hi to Eva and Pam they work the waterfront patio.
