Never Again...
Never again will my friends and I go to Dark Horse Tavern. We had a terrible experience with the General Manager on a Saturday night. My friend was sitting in a chair over by the bar and we were talking. We were approached by a man who very rudely told her she needed to move. He did not explain himself further. I asked if he worked there and he said that he didn't. At this point, we thought he was just a random customer. When she didn't move, he picked up the chair and threw my friend out of it. He told her that she needed to leave. He was acting extremely angry and rude. We assumed that he did indeed work there. Finally, after harassing us for a bit longer, he walked away. We learned that he was the General Manager. My friend was humiliated and upset because she was treated in such a terrible manner. When she saw him later in the night, she asked for his business card. He told her he did not have one. She asked for his name and he responded by shouting across the bar to the bartenders that she was "banned for life." We have no desire to return to the Dark Horse Tavern if this is the way that women and customers are treated. A simple "Hi, would you mind moving your chair? You are in the way of people trying to get by" would have been much more effective!
